Oreo
Taking a Worldwide Favorite to New Places
Now in snack cakes, wafer sticks and chocolate creme cookies
In 1912, two chocolate-flavored wafers with a rich creme filling called the Oreo cookie became an immediate hit with consumers. Today it’s sold all over the world.
Kraft is continuing to leverage this powerful brand and reframe our categories by not only launching numerous varieties of cookies, but also by expanding Oreo into pie crusts and ice cream cones.
And we’re continuing the tradition by introducing great new products like snack cakes, wafer sticks and chocolate crème-filled cookies.
- In the United States, consumers are enjoying new Oreo Cakesters snack cakes. These individual snack cakes are made with that one-of-a-kind Oreo creme sandwiched between two rich, moist chocolate cake layers for a unique taste only Oreo can deliver.
- In the Gulf Cooperation Council – Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates – Oreo recently launched Oreo chocolate creme cookies. This is the first variation of the original Oreo since it was introduced in the Persian Gulf in 2003.
- In China and Singapore, new Oreo Wafer Sticks – individually-wrapped chocolate covered wafers – have quickly become a favorite of parents and children alike.
